The damage done by warren Fellows
March 26, 2009 2:36 pm Book ReviewsThis is the true story of Warren fellows who was of trafficking heroin in Thailand. In the book he tells us of the horrors of life in a Thai prison. He lived a nightmare which you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. He admits that he was guilty of the crime but the punishment he received was far far worse than the crime he committed.
He had to eat sewer rats and cockroaches just to get the nutrition he needed to survive, when he did get food it was usually infested with maggots. He was locked in tiny rooms with more than 20 other prisoners all crammed in together with no room to move all being sick because of the putrid smell.
It’s a miracle how he survived in such horrific circumstances. He committed a crime and deserved to be punished for it , but this wasn’t punishment it was living hell day after day for twelve years. Most of the things warren tells us of are unimaginable it’s hard to believe that humans can treat each other in this way
It’s such a relief when he is released from prison after twelve years and is able to go home. This book is a fascinating heartbreaking read .
