In this book Paul McKenna promises he can make you thin. If you read the book and listen to the cd that comes with it McKenna promises you will start losing weight straight away.
The book is all about how you can re-pattern your thoughts and beliefs about food and your health.
There are simple rules that if you follow you will no doubt loose the weight and feel great. He doesn’t want you to diet as he says when people are on diets they tend to end up eating more. The main principles in the book are to, eat when you’re hungry, and eat whatever you want, so if you fancy a burger and chips then that’s what you should eat, then stop when you’re full. You have assess your hunger on a scale of one to ten , one being –physically faint and ten being nauseously full as a general rule you should when you feel you’re at a level between three and four – fairly hungry and slightly hungry. So you shouldn’t wait until you feel faint before you eat and nor should you eat when you feel full.
It’s a brilliant book and if you follow the rules and listen to the cd on a daily basis you should definitely lose weight.

This book by Lynn Grabhorn is all about positive thinking and the law of attraction. She tells us how in her opinion we create everything that happens to us by the way we think, if you think negative all the time then you will get more negatives in your life. If you change the way you think and think positive then you create positive energies which attract positive things into your life.
Lynn tells us of the situations she’s faced in her life and how she was able to turn them around by practicing the law of attraction. She believes that if you really desire something in your life like money , love , a new job , a new car , anything at all really , if you think positive thoughts about it then it will find a way to come into your life. Just like the opposite, if you’re forever thinking about the lack of something e.g., I fed up of being poor , then you attract just that – more of being poor.
It’s a very inspiring book which gets you thinking about how you live your life . It’s easy to read and I loved the style of her writing. She’s very witty and has you laughing a lot. If you follow some of the advice she gives you will notice a difference in your life.

It’s on the plane when all the coincidences start to happen which his friend told him was part of the manuscript, on the plane he meets a man who is going to Peru for the same reason. When they arrive they are mysteriously followed and have bullets fired at them.

On September 20, 2006, Richard Hammond suffered a serious brain injury following a high-speed car crash, making national headlines.
On the Edge is his account of life before and after the accident and of the year of his recovery. Hammond was a daredevil and a petrol head long before he appeared on Top Gear.
Hammond tells us how he lived his life as an adrenalin junkie long before he appeared on Top Gear. From a very young age when he used to show off with ridiculous stunts on his bicycle to when he got older his obsession turned to speed and the smell of petrol. After a series of jobs in local radio, he moved on to television and eventually to Top Gear, one of the Britain’s most popular shows.
I must say I really enjoyed this book, it didn’t just tell Hammonds side of the story but also his wife’s Mindys side. Telling us how she coped with the children, Richard and the media after his accident. It is very moving and inspiring book and shows the love that Richard and his wife Mindy have for each other. Hammond tells us how he first got on top gear and about his previous jobs. An excellent book I would recommend to anyone Top Gear fan or not.

This book is about Jane Elliot, from the age of 4 she was sexually abused by her stepfather a man who was just 14 years older than her. For 17 years she carried this secret with her until one day she found the courage to fight back.
When she was 21 Jane escaped the abuse to be with man she loved, but she still held on to her secret for another 5 years.
It’s a devastating story that had me in tears. Even the witnesses who could have come forward failed to do so out of fear.
Jane’s stepfather was a very sick and twisted man, some of the things he did to her are hard to read as they as so terrible.
Even when her mum knew what was going on, nothing changed. He warned Jane ‘If you ever tell anybody what we’ve done I’ll kill you and then I’ll kill your mum and no one will ever know because I’ll just tell them you both ran away’.
Jane believed he was capable of anything which is one of the reasons she kept quiet for so long.
The story is told from the beginning of the abuse right up until her stepfather is finally put away in prison where he belongs.
