Charlie is a nice kid and just wants to make his family happy. When Willy Wonker puts five lucky tickets in his chocolate bars, giving five lucky children a trip around his secret chocolate factory and a life supply of sweets Charlie dreams of winning one but as money is so tight he doesn’t think this is possible. One day Charlie’s luck changes and he finds a golden ticket he is so excited .His whole family are so happy for Charlie has he has never had much.
The other four winning children are not nice like Charlie; most of them are spoilt and selfish. Charlie takes his Granddad with him on the tour of Willy Wonkers chocolate factory where he meets the other children and Willy Wonker himself. Lots of things happen to the other children the greedy boy Augustus falls into the chocolate river when he tries to drink from it. Violet Beauregarde who is addicted to chewing gum eats a piece of gum that turns her into giant blueberry. This book was very funny I loved it and I loved watching the film that was made of the book.
