Jasmin Field is a journalist who lands the role of Elizabeth Bennet in a one-off fundraising adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice”. When she finds out that the play’s director is Harry Noble a well known Hollywood heart-throb with a very large ego, she is pleased to discover that he is every bit as arrogant and obnoxious as she could have wished as this means a lot of material for her column. Things start to go wrong for Jasmin, her best friend dumps her for a man, her family starts to crumble before her eyes and her award-winning column hits bad times. Even more worrying for her is the fact that Harry Noble keeps staring at her.
I found this book very entertaining and enjoyable .It was full of twists. Jasmin is a very entertaining character, who takes on the lead in a play even though she isn’t an actress. It’s a very funny and exciting read which at times can be emotional. I found the book easy to get into, a perfect read for the beach. I would recommend this book and will definitely try more of the author’s previous books. The end was a little predictable but still good all the same.
